With the Organized Docs plugin, you can organize your Docs in several ways. The first decision you must make is this:
Will you be showing Docs for multiple products, or for one product? To help you decide, look at these 2 examples:
- Example 1: Multiple Products:
Product 1 Sub Heading 1 * Individual Article Title * Individual Article Title Sub Heading 2 * Individual Article Title * Individual Article Title Sub Heading 3 * Individual Article Title * Individual Article Title Product 2 Sub Heading 1 * Individual Article Title * Individual Article Title Sub Heading 2 * Individual Article Title * Individual Article Title Sub Heading 3 * Individual Article Title * Individual Article Title Product 3 * Individual Article Title * Individual Article Title * Individual Article Title Product 4 * Individual Article Title
- Example 2: A Single Product:
Main Title Sub Heading 1 * Individual Article Title * Individual Article Title Sub Heading 2 * Individual Article Title * Individual Article Title Sub Heading 3 * Individual Article Title * Individual Article Title
If you’re providing documentation for multiple different products, then use example 1. If you’re providing documentation for a single product, use example 2. (Example 2 is also good for putting up an online book with chapters.)
Note 1: You’re allowed to eliminate the sub-headings. Notice that Example 1, Product 3 has no sub-headings. This is useful in cases when you have a product that only needs a few documentation articles and you really don’t need subheadings.
