WP Family Tree Importer

This is a WordPress Import plugin that lets you migrate your WP Family Tree posts from one site to another, while maintaining their family associations. For example, they will keep their post meta for mother, father, and spouse. These family associations were previously lost if you used the regular WordPress Importer to import your WP Family Tree posts.

Usage

1. Upload and activate the plugin at the site that you will be importing posts into. (You don’t need this plugin to export the family tree posts from your old site.)
2. On your old site, export your WP Family Tree posts, like this: go to Tools –> Export. Choose to export “Posts” and select the category of your Family Tree posts. Click “Download Export File”.
3. Then, on your new site, go to Tools –> Import. Click “WP Family Tree”. Then, click “Browse” and import that file. Then, click “Upload file and import”.
