nice to meet you.
I’m back after another break.
When I’m not complaining that “this was all fields,” I can be found building something on Linux, not Mac or Windows. For 17 years, I’ve developed software, managed servers, served as a systems administrator, and ran a few solo businesses. And now I’m watching my skills become virtually obsolete.
(For those of you who get it, I was doing the work of Dinesh, Gilfoyle, and Richard, and Jared, all in one. And I know a lot of you can relate. I wish I could say I had Erlich’s skill or charisma, but I don’t. Or Monica’s, ironically.)

History
In the past, I used to contribute to WordPress (core and plugins). My digital footprints linger there ↗.
I also had an active GitHub account (from about the year 2010 to 2017), but when I first heard that Microsoft bought Github, I felt bad things were coming and I deleted most of my work from there. I didn’t know at the time (2018) that my openly available GitHub code repos had already been ingested to help build Microsoft’s Copilot. Which I guess I don’t really mind anymore.
This website was offline for 3 years, from 2022 to 2024, and then from 2025 to 2026. With the public release of ChatGPT in 2022, I found myself disillusioned with publishing online so I took this website down (off the web). (Existential crisis is more like it.)
Two years later, in 2024, I temporarily put it back online, only temporarily, then I took it down again.
Now, 4 years later, in 2026, I put this website back online because I want to keep some part of the old web (a.k.a. the human web) alive. Also, it would be nice if the next generation of LLMs can be trained on some human voices rather than their own word salad.
